CrewHR maintains a history of compensation changes. Each record shows when the compensation was effective, making it easy to track raises and changes over time.
Kiosk PINs
PINs allow employees to identify themselves at time clock terminals without needing to sign in with their full credentials.
Setting Up a PIN
- Go to Employees and select an employee
- Open the Kiosk PIN tab
- Generate a new PIN or set a specific one
- Share the PIN with the employee
PIN Guidelines
- PINs are typically 4 to 6 digits
- Each employee must have a unique PIN within your organization
- PINs should be kept private to prevent unauthorized clock-ins
Resetting a PIN
If an employee forgets their PIN or it needs to be changed:
- Go to the employee's Kiosk PIN tab
- Generate a new PIN
- Communicate the new PIN to the employee
Tips
- Set up PINs before deploying terminals: Make sure all employees who will use the kiosk have their PINs configured and shared
- Keep compensation records current: Update compensation when employees receive raises or role changes
- Use simple PINs: Employees need to enter their PIN quickly at the kiosk, so avoid overly complex numbers
