    Duplicating a Draft

Duplicating creates a copy of an existing draft, which you can then modify for a new date range or make adjustments without affecting the original.

    1. Go to Schedule Builder
    2. Find the draft you want to duplicate in the Active Drafts section
    3. Click the Duplicate action
    4. The new draft is created with the same shift assignments
    5. Adjust the date range and any shifts as needed

This is especially useful when your schedule follows a similar pattern each period.

    Opening a Draft

    1. Go to Schedule Builder
    2. Click on a draft from the Active Drafts list
    3. The draft opens in the editor

    Adding Shifts

    • Click on an empty cell or use the Add Shift button
    • Fill in: date, start time, end time, location, zone, employee, role, and optional notes
    • Save the shift

    Editing Shifts

    • Click on an existing shift card
    • Modify any details
    • Save your changes

    Deleting Shifts

    • Open a shift
    • Click Delete
    • Confirm the deletion

    Bulk Operations

For larger changes, you can use bulk delete to remove multiple shifts at once. Select the shifts you want to remove and confirm the bulk action.

    Deleting a Draft

If you no longer need a draft:

    1. Go to Schedule Builder
    2. Find the draft in the Active Drafts list
    3. Click the Delete action
    4. Confirm deletion

Deleting a draft is permanent. It does not affect the published schedule.

    Draft vs Published

Remember that drafts are only visible to admins in the Schedule Builder. Employees see only the published schedule. You can have multiple drafts in progress at the same time for different date ranges or locations.

    Tips

    • Duplicate instead of starting fresh: If your schedule is similar week to week, duplicating and tweaking is faster than creating from scratch
    • Delete old drafts: Clean up drafts you no longer need to keep the builder dashboard organized
    • Check coverage after editing: After making changes, verify the coverage metrics still show all slots filled
