Chrome Extension Privacy Policy

    This privacy policy applies to the Bulk Resume/CV Downloader for Indeed Chrome browser extension ("the Extension") published by CrewHR. This policy explains what data the Extension accesses, how it is used, and how it is stored.

    Data Collection

    The Extension does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data with third parties. All data remains local to your browser.

    Data Accessed

    The Extension accesses the following data solely to perform its core functionality:

    • Indeed.com page content: The Extension reads DOM elements on Indeed.com employer pages (candidates list and applicant detail pages) to identify applicant names, IDs, and resume download links.
    • Resume files: The Extension triggers downloads of resume/CV files that are already available to you as an employer through Indeed's interface.

    Data Stored Locally

    The Extension stores the following data in your browser's local storage (chrome.storage.local):

    • Applicant IDs: A list of applicant identifiers that have already been processed, used to avoid duplicate downloads. These are opaque IDs from Indeed's system.
    • Processing state: Temporary state to track download progress within a session.

    This data is stored entirely within your browser and is never transmitted externally.

    Data Sharing

    The Extension does not:

    • Collect or transmit any data to external servers
    • Use analytics or tracking services
    • Share data with third parties
    • Access any data outside of Indeed.com employer pages

    Permissions

    The Extension requests the following Chrome permissions:

    User Control

    You have full control over your data:

    • Use the "Clear All Data" button in the Extension popup to delete all stored data at any time.
    • Uninstalling the Extension removes all associated local storage data.

    Children's Privacy

    The Extension is intended for use by employers managing job applicants on Indeed.com. It is not directed at children under the age of 13.
